9.5 Inch 1934 Composition Brown Fruendlich Big Bad Wolf Doll, 5.5 Inch Vintage Disney Pig Duo

Description 1920's to 1930s Fruendlich Composition Big Bad Wolf Doll.. Go by pictures,, from a wonderful doll collector. I find him in amazing condition for his age..vintage 1930s Ralph Freundlich "Big Bad Wolf" doll. Description from the previous owner... It is made of composition material with painted facial features. The doll has a wolf head on a five-piece Patsy body. It is wearing a sewn-on cotton shirt and white coveralls. I have found a picture online of this wolf wearing this white jumpsuit. The doll measures approximately 9.5 inches tall and is considered a rare find. The Big Bad Wolf is made by the Freundlich Company, an American firm that specialized in composition novelty from 1929-1945 before they went bankrupt. It does have a chipped foot and some nicks on the ears. .. His companion the Little pig about 5.5 inches tall is Disney Little Pig – one of the first licensed products by Disney 1934 .. This is the information I was given when I purchased this duo. I cannot confirm the era or who made this little pig.. made of a rubbery light brown material.. The Big Bad Wolf seems to be from the vintage Little Red Riding Hood series..... I cannot find any markings on this little animal. Both sold together.. filed doll room 2026 inv lr bin .. I noted on an auction site the 1934 Wolf we have here was also with a Patsy doll and a grandmother.. Info given to me and above is that the wolf head was put on a patsy body, maybe that is why...
