I absolutely love these French dolls. we have French heritage so these dolls feel very homey and comfy. Made in France and the seal stamp under the clay base.. our elderly French lady madame is about 10 inches tall standing on a clay stand that looks like wood. there is a historic story about these Santons dolls.. tag and history attached. genuine hand made Santons of Provence, France. The Creche and the Santons. as you see her well dressed in green paisley skirt, yellow print apron. white lace bonnet of her region. characteristic lined face. grey hair. black and white shawl and she has her bottle , so she is probably involved in the wine trade. inventory 1511 and I love her pink floral undergarments, part wire for legs lower part is clay painted white for socks and has black shoes these dolls are solid and very heavy expensive to ship .
