7" DARK BROWN VELVET CHAD VALLEY ENGLISH DOLL, Plus 4" Old Lady Dollhouse Doll duo

Description circa 1960s 7" black velvetine doll by Hygienic Chad Valley Company Ltd, Made in England. Chad Valley began producing cloth dolls around 1917. Earliest dolls have stockinette faces, later they hand painted felt faces with a velvet or velveteen body. In 1938 Chad was granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment "Toy makers to her Majesty the Queen". This little sweetie has a dark brown stuffed velvety body and a dark brown moulded hard compo perhaps face with eyes painted black and curly black wool hair. She has a bright red mouth and a red and white cotton polka dot dress with matching shorts. She is white felt sewn on Baby Jane slippers with ankle straps, she has little white rag ribbons at the end of her pigtails.. she is well done.. filed dollhouse dolls 1 2025 inv. .. She has cute red and white polka dot undies also. nice painted facial features.. . she is about 7 inches tall Chad Valley... Her companion a little old girl is about 4 inches.., she is wired inside, original clothes, red shoes, and is like a silicone material... She has very long soft light blonde hair.. both combined.. .
