one of the most sought after dolls for the baby boomers, circa 1960 or early 60s this is Chatty Cathy as I received her.. nice doll and she has her speaker in the front, this one is cloth covered,, all hard plastic, chubby cutie doll, hard plastic body, jointed and her arms are I believe very hard vinyl, and her face is a soft face.. you can squeeze it.... thick rooted dark brown hair ,, and believe she has the decal American eyes. string attached but is mute.. Chatty Cathy on back in square 1960 and no other writing past the 1960 and Calif.... and I think only her body bodice is hard plastic and the rest is vinyl hard vinyl when I look closer at her..,, her coloring is uneven as shown in the picture, she has paled on one leg and one arm.. she needs a bath.., open closed mouth, you can see some teeth on the top,, nice lashes, blue sleep eyes.. not perfect but a lovely character of the 60s .. her face is so cute and nice condition the dark brown brunette hair really suits this doll. fresh freckles.. wearing old undies could be original, and her original tagged peppermint dress with white eyelet apron.. as I received her, don't have her original shoes... she is probably American second issue Mattel, as you see her listing on fb.. this chatty cathy is filed inv lr bin 10 2020... she would be too expensive to ship overseas.. advise if you wish her sent overseas and she would go parcel rate.. inventory 1006b. will try to find some socks for her journey home.. her hair is a bit dry but overall nice condition. about 20 inches tall inventory 1006b SO FOR THIS CHARMING BRUNETTE CHATTY CATHY DOLL choose A in the menu.. I now have another girl, I don't know much about her, she does not have Canada on her back.. patents pending 1960 Hawthorne Calif. hard plastic body, speaker grill on the front and this one talks, a bit muffled but the first one I have had that can talk. she has nice blonde hair, like a mid blonde., hair could use a wash and set, something I just cannot do.. she seems to have a vinyl soft face and a little narrow. , nice pink lips, and only one tooth that I can see, a few lashes missing on one side of her blue eyes. , soft freckles.. and like a strawberry blonde bob. actually most of the lashes are missing on the one side. the other side is not too bad.. and she came with this adorable sailor dress that fits her perfect, could not find any labels.. her era and so sweet.. as you see her, nice shade of thick blonde rooted hair. could use a wash up., string is connected and you can hear some phrases.. for this cute Chatty Cathy doll, probably American made, choose B in the menu. and interesting that the shoes that came with her match her dress quite closely.
