13" Compostion Madame Alexander all original. This little girl looks like a Marcella doll made in competition with Ideals Shirley Temple doll in the 1930's. One of the Marcella dolls is pictured in Patricia Smith's Madame Alexander doll book. The Marcella dolls came out in 1936 and had various outfits. This doll is all composition and has her original blonde mohair wig in original set IN PIGTAILS WITH BLUE RIBBONS She has green sleep eyes with all lashes intact and no crazing in eyes. She still retains her brown eyeshadow and has finely painted lower lashes. Doll has an open mouth with teeth. oUR GIRL HAS A LOVELY PINK DRESS WITH SHEER ORGANDY PINAFORE.. and those navy blue shoes are really neat. bit of wear on the sole like oilskin or leatherette.. She has her original rayon socks. The doll is in great shape for her age. There are no splits or lifting in the composition. Marks: the body has the number 13. The dress is tagged Madame Alexander New York USA. Circa 1936. Darling little girl in great shape. the description of this gorgeous doll as I received her years ago.This doll has 13 on the back, tagged dress and would be McGuffey Ana lovely lovely condition hard to find a doll of this quality, all original. inventory this doll is a genuine sweetheart.. beautiful condition, been on display only.. SHE MAY have the Madame Alexander Elizabeth face. filed bin hall 9 2022 inv.. we have sold one McGuffey doll and this one we have is from a very large original Madame Alexander lot of vintage dolls.... Our Ana has a straw hat with flowers that will go home with her...
