28" LONG WOODEN CARVED HEAD WAJANG WAYANG PUPPET DOLL, RICH GARMENTS, HEADDRESS, NO STICKS

Description it is unique and called Wajang.. I have had several over the years and they are kind of big puppets with walking sticks etc.. This one left its sticks behind and is just big.. You can make this into a puppet or add strings etc.. Very richly dressed very ornate almost like the sari cloths from India.... This whole puppet doll is 28 inches long from top of headpiece to bottom of long gown and the wooden chest waist base about 11 to 12 . inches long. .. The large painted head is solid carved wood and painted.. big headdress as shown in pictures.. You can easily add the walking sticks to this Wajang puppet doll with wooden head. and the body chest is solid and heavy like wood.. A lot of material in this doll and the ends of the arms have strings to attach the wooden walking sticks. no legs.. filed inv bin lr 10 2020 ok OR WAYANG AND BELIEVE THIS ITEM IS INDONESIAN.. note the doll has a piercing in the nose, a metal ornament with a chain ornament along the side of that face, it must have a meaning
