NOT PERFECT BUT SO NOSTALGIC, the second world war was just starting, it was 1939, the 40s was looming and this book reflects the war effect and the change in fashion towards the 40s... the cover is in poor condition, taped and a piee missing on the left side... all intact. amazing 60 years old.. women's wear, men's wear, children's wear, babies too with a lacy shawl.. and carriage cover and sleeping bag.. also Misc of afghan, cushion, fancy work bag, tea cosy, bag and belt in pastels.. how to knit, tips, subs, block etc.. and French section as well.. Canadian production in Toronto dated 1939.. some angora fashions for her. and a soiree that I love, a cropped little buttoned sweater that would be glamorous today.... all intact but a bit fragile.. great book reflecting a turning point in the world's history... picture will follow.. one person summarized this book: 64 Pages. This book contains an amazing assortment of knitting projects. For the ladies, there are dresses, cardigans, pullovers, and a lovely scarf set. There are several adorable outfits for children - including beautiful infant's sets that would be wonderful as shower gifts and they are so simple to make! There are also great, timeless sweater designs for men and warm socks. Extra projects include afghans, a tea cosy, purses, a cushion and many many more projects. and copied a picture from the web, this one for sale is not perfect cover wise.. and just found the 1941 Lux Knitting book, poor condition cover, torn, taped on the bind. but seems to be all intact.. knitting for the whole family, love the turbans. both combined the 1939 and the 1941 Lux books..
