Description
MEET ALICE, INVENTORY #72, one of the first dolls I purchased when collecting dolls.. paper mache type legs and arms, painted mary jane black shoes, open welcoming arms, cork styled body. and nice bisque head with tightly waved original brown mohair wig... markings 1909 12/0 attributed to Rechnagel, German doll manufacturer.. she is a 1911 dolly face German girl with lovely teeth. open mouth, inset glass blue eyes, high arch eyebrows.., wearing a newer circa 50 to 60s calico print dress that looks good on her, and pantaloons.. as I received her many years ago... charming German girl doll nice size about 10 inches tall. she will be well packaged for her journey home, sure like her shoes... even with little heels. she was one of the first dolls I purchased and she came from a doll collector that purchased this doll as her first doll.. It would be neat for this doll to continue the heritage.. she is fragile with cork body torso and paper mache legs.... We now have unlimited pictures availability on the site so for the first time undressed her.. so neat a doll.. knife pleat long white slip not removable, and her underwear, dress is vintage but would not be her era.. but so interesting is that there is a date written on her back cork body and think it is 1914, you may be able to see part of the date in one picture.. I like everything about this doll.. she is fun, charming, and she fits with any antique doll.. I have a picture of her here with my Adolf Wiscelenzus beauty that is listed separately.. filed doll rm. thank you.. Alice is now redressed in a long green print tied dress. we have now reduced her, we are clearing our antique doll inventory.. good home please.. ff ok inventoried FILED LR CABINET reduced reddeer box lr 2023 #20
