11" Grey Stuffed Mohair Sitting Elephant, Red Felt Bib Collar, Old Jingle Bell end of Trunk, Steiff perhaps

Description i AM SO SURE THIS IS A STEIFF ELEPHANT with the old bell at the end of his trunk, but no tags or buttons. these animals came from an antique collector estate, she kept the Schoenhuts and Steiffs under glass and would not sell them when she was alive. I have them here.. the Schoenhut elephant is listed separately. This grey plush elephant is in overall good enough condition for its age.. Could use with a light cleaning. He is wearing his red felt collar. and is in a sitting position. He matches the online pictures but I cannot guarantee he is an actual Steiff or even what era he was made.. The jingle bell at the end of his trunk is quite old and metal.. so on Estimate maybe 1950s.. Online description which fits our elephant; quote medium sized soft toy elephant is made by Steiff from a grey mohair in a sitting position as shown in the photos. I believe he is called Jumbo with swivel head and jointed arms, grey felt pads, original red felt removable bib, open mouth which is peach pink felt, black and white plastic eyes. The trunk is strong and sticks straight up with metal jingle bell to the tip, straw and soft stuffed unquote He is about 11 inches high or so.... Preowned, not crisp mint but he is intact..... Little bits of wear here and there... For the one older Grey Elephant that could easily be a Steiff from an antique collector.. filed doll rm 5 2025 inv
