16" CANADA INUIT OLD WOMAN ORIGINAL PARKA, FUR LINED, MOCCASINS, WALKING STICK, EMBROIDERED FACE

Description this is another genuine Inuit Eskimo embroidered face doll.. This one could be the elderly woman or the elderly man with a walking stick. One arm is stitched to the back.. Original tag and it said old man then they added it to say woman so I will say old woman with the parka she is wearing.. Very embroidered face.. Never seen a face like this one with applied noose.. Hooded parka fur lined.. wool felt moccasins.... Skin tone stuffed legs, pink bloomers..... black yarn hair, and pink underdress with fur trim. Very well done.. The artist is written on tag and not sure of correct name S. Kingalok perhaps and from Coppermine.. Many of these Inuit dolls wee made in that region. She deserves a well appreciated home.. filed lr cabinet 11 2024 inv.... She is about 16 inches tall and is in a bent over position.. Green wool felt mitts. Coppermine Nunavut Canada.. At the Glenbow Museum in Calgary they have a collection of these Inuit dolls and one artist is Susie Kinglok, doll, ca. late 20th century, so I am sure that is the name on this tag.
