Description
LOVE THESE LITTLE FASHION DOLLS around 8 inches tall and a U at the back of her neck so probably an Uneeda doll circa late 50s to 60s.. wearing a vintage thick and rich purple velvet dress with wide white collar.. she will go home with undies and a pair of CUTE white rubber shoes..... close cropped ash blonde hair, closed pert red mouth, with stationary blue eyes, molded lashes,, her face was dirty and some spots shown in picture, have now washed her face a bit. vinyl face, and hard plastic teen body, jointed arms and legs as you see her and as I received her. hair is a bit dry., not bad and some original curl.. . this was a wonderful era for small 8 inch fashion dolls, like the Canadian unmarked Debby dolls.. . INVENTORY 1388 and here is a write up on these early Uneeda fashion dolls quote: In 1958 many other companies issued 10 1/2 inch fashion dolls to compete with Little Miss Revlon. I have just a few shown here. Uneeda issued Suzette for W.T. Grants store and also under the name Tiny Teen for other markets, along with her boyfriend Bob in 1957. Valentine doll company had a jointed ballerina, Vogue doll company released the Jill doll and her boyfriend Jeff. Cosmopolitan Doll Company released Miss Ginger with a line of clothing for her, and many other companies made similar size and style dolls, some unmarked, some marked with a Circle P on the back of their necks. unquote I have a Tiny Teen listed separately. this one is actually closer to 8 1/2 inches tall without heels. and she does not have a swivel waist. love these fashion dolls. doll room filed ok INVENTORIED FILED DOLL FASHION BOX inv
