Description THIS SURE HAS A HISTORY TO IT and it may be coincidental but this could be the famous televised t.v. china tea set.. there is a written little history on the background of this tea set as it was brought into an antique shop by a descendent of the original owner... Apparently this set was in an antique for so many years, brought over during the war years by a soldier who was in Japan. the box is here, the original one and a layer of straw for padding.. So I will tell you the story of this tea set.. I am mentioning to my girlfriend about this tea set brought over by a soldier.. She is into antiques. and she said, oh I heard that story before, brought over by a soldier stationed in japan and brought it to the west coast. Saw it on t.v. but it could not be yours, this one was laying on a bed of straw.. This tea set is on a bed of straw.. so this could be the famous one. and it is lovely does not look played with, might have an odd little rub on one or two pieces from just hanging around for 70 years.. each piece will be well packaged and shipping will be a bit more expensive .... lots of pieces and they all appear to be there, lots of cute little plates, and it is the rough china not the smooth glazed china.
