i have a series of these lovely historic color plates. York Castle Museum Costume The Victorians is one 1837 to 1901 six dresses from the museum costume collections during the reign of Queen Victoria.. magnificent reference material. the first one 1994 this was printed shows a blue floor gown.. and will be adding the cards as I process them.. this will be for the whole series of Victorian gowns color plates. next in the pictures is the printed cotton day dress 1841 to 1843, very colorful, collar, long sleeves, drop waist.... showing the black satin shoes of 1840 the back of this color plate shows a Victorian lady from March 1842 in a dark green gown, also a white muslin collar, and underwear is described.. MANY OF THE 1800 era fashions are shown.. blue wool day dress around 1898, corsets, chemise, advertisements etc..
