a nice vintage dress.. Erin of Dress a Day loved to make comments what these models were saying in the day. the girl in green looks a little forlorn and the print dress looks a bit smug.. simplicity 4731 in the higher ranges of that era. bust 40 inches, hip 43.. tape rub on back flap. use cotton, chambray, gingham, butcher linen, surah, nylon, rayon, wool jersey etc.. a small shaped collar and cuff sleeve (the cuff piece for view 1 is missing, rest is accounted for, this is a soft tailored dress. the skirt side front has a yoke section forming a pocket.. upper edge of the pocket is shaped.. the dress has a front button closing.. 1 fastens at neck.. collar, cuffs of elbow length sleeves and edge of skirt pocket are accented with topstitching.. 2 is open at the neck, short sleeves. nice button down dress in any decade.. 1954 almost 70 years old.
