McCall's 8819 sewing pattern to make: "Aprons, From Purchased Towels and Cloths: Aprons are specially designed to be made quickly from bath towels, hand towels, dish towels, washcloths and dishcloths. On Tissue Sheet, there are printed patterns for Pocket A, Guide for Pocket C and Waist Guides D and E. Leaflet contains diagrams and Directions for Making Aprons. *Bib Apron A is braid bound and deeply pocketed. One bath towel makes two aprons. *Reversible Half-Apron B is simply gathered into braid which extends for ties. It can be ankle-length (one bath towel), or knee-length (one-half bath towel). It can be work with the ties over shoulders, crossed at back and tied under the bust. *Tabard Apron C is the sum of two hand towels and two washcloths. Towels are snapped at shoulders and washcloths from pockets at sides. Also suitable for beach wear over a bathing suit. *Reversible Short Half-Apron D is made from four double-faced dishcloths. Braid bound cobbler pockets inside and out. Braid waistband extended for ties. *Wrap-Around Apron F from one bath towel, is elasticized at back and sides of waist. It wraps and buttons to one side.
