12'' GRAMPA HILL FOLK ART SENIOR POSED DOLL WEE BIBLE,,PIPE 1648

Description this is an unusual and interesting creative folk art doll I only have information on this doll that is written on a tag attached to him... Inventory 1648. he is about 12 inches tall and all cloth sculpted, long piano fingers. and in a close to crossed leg pose, estimate the 60s just by the clothes or late 50s.. blue fortrel or polyester print pants, nice rust felt shoes, and a sleeveless vest sweater and long sleeve shirt. this is Grampa Hill by Renates Weitzenbauer purchased in 1979 by the previous owner. very nice unplayed with condition. what a character face with grey hair on the sides, enlarged ears, glasses, like a cloth version of the apple head dolls. love the detailing. this doll cost $150 in 1979. and our gramps has a pipe in one hand.. he is about 11 inches as he is so is about 12 inches long extended, he does not stretch.. The doll collector estate that had these dolls had information tagged to each doll and usually a book with them. this senior fellow would estimate close to his 80s has the neatest smallest bible ever in white. called The Little Bible, bit of wear, selections from every book in the Bible, New and Old Testament and even a few pictures.8 at the end are Passages for the Hour.. very portable. 2.5 x 1.75 inches approx and a few marks on the cover..
