7'' ORIGINAL ''JOHN GUARDSMAN OF QUEEN PEGGY NISBET DOLL,HAPPY BOX

Description 7 inches tall this is a very well made Scottish doll in full uniform, bended knee, molded painted black shoes, and white socks etc.. all hard plastic and love his Guardsman tall wooly hat, and a Happy Dolls tag on his wrist, his name is John and made in England.. John is by Peggy Nisbet and he stands outside Buckingham Palace and guards the H.M. Queen Elizabeth II.. very impressive., he is a Guardsman. .. inventory 1946. , legs are not jointed but his arms are, red wool felt jacket, . bit of paint rub on toe of one very shiny black shoe.. .., very nicely made doll and uniform, wonderful painted molded face, like composition. I have Jock listed separately.. our John the Guardsman is in a Happy Dolls Box and will include that with him.. it is for a ridget Irish Colleen doll, same company etc.. . circa 1964, THEse dolls were made by Peggy Nisbet well known doll artist. bike room inventory 148
