27'' BLACK KNIT STUFF GOLLIWOG DOLL, BRAIDS, BONNET, EARRINGS

pretty difficult to find a category for this doll. folk art definitely, probably golliwog and very interesting. this 27 inch black knitted doll stuffed reminds me of the English Pedigree doll from 1960.. brass hoop earrings and brass bracelets at wrist. applied facial cloth features. embroidered nose. has a red gingham lace trim bonnet attached to her head.. she has wooly hair underneath. the bonnet makes me estimate 1960 at the latest for her. all of 27 inches tall. she has some pilling but think overall good condition and because it is knitted some of the underbody shows in places.. her ankles are tied for feet. sewed down at joints hip to sit. adorable Golliwog type folk art rag doll as shown in pictures.. sorry she is so dark the pictures do not do her justice..
