18" K & R CELLULOID HEAD GERMAN BABY DOLL 728/7 43/46 CRIER WORKS all celluloid not perfect but intact K with a star and R 728 / 7 and 43/46 and Germany.. go by pictures.. crier on the back, she cries and will go home with an antique long christening gown. cute open mouth with teeth, looks like human lashes and a small crack back of the top rim of the head which would be covered by a wig. IT WAS MADE IN GERMANY BY "KAMMER AND REINHARDT" . THE DOLL IS MARKED ON THE HEAD: # 728/7 43/46 AND COMPANY'S LOGO (THE STAR OF DAVID) . THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL MARK ON THE BODY BACK. and from online information: The K�mmer & Reinhardt doll company was formed ca. 1886-1932 in Waltershausen, Thuringia, Germany by Ernst K�mmer and Franz Reinhardt. Early K & R dolls were made of wax. K & R bisque doll heads and bodies, were designed by K�mmer & Reinhardt, but most of the heads were manufactured by Simon & Halbig (which is why many dolls have both companies mark; K & R and S & H), as K & R did not have their own porcelain factory. They also purchased bisque heads from the porcelain factories of Kling and Quendt & Schuetzmeister. In 1902 K & R purchased the Heinrich Handwerck doll company, when it's founder passed away, by 1920 they also acquired the Simon & Halbig company, as well. she is estimated 1930s era filed doll room 5 2021 inv.. she is so cute with brown flirty sleep eyes.. she would be too tall when packaged up as packet mail so will go home by parcel. thank you.  ds bin 10 2021 inv
