Description LAPLAND #537 WAS PRODUCED FOR JUST ONE YEAR IN 1993 ONLY AND IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN SUCH Lovely CONDITION! Her unique dress is ecru with blue trim at her neckline and cuffs and intricate floral embroidery decorates the bodice. Underneath she wears blue fuzzy pants accented with colorful fringe at her ankles and the cute little blue and red fuzzy boots on her feet. Her red hat is decorated with the same blue trim that is on her cuffs and fastens beneath her chin in a colorful tie. She has gorgeous tosca light red colored hair and sparkling green eyes description from an auction site.. she came in her box marked Lapland 537. filed downstairs room 3 2025 inv... She came with a doll stand.. i COPIED a write up on her from online quote Her traditional costume color themes are white with red, blue, green, and yellow accents. The traditional Sami dress is blue with red accents. The Sami (or Saami) are the indigenous people of Lapland in northern Finland, Sweden, and Norway. It is said to be the home of Santa Claus. Smaller box which fits in Canada Post extra small box tracked exactly, for Canadians.. Her main dress is a long-sleeve white heavy twill dress. The cuffs are trimmed in a tightly woven flat braid of blue thread that graduates from light to royal blue. The bottom edge takes that braid and creates loose embroidery loops to soften the edge. Her double-layer stand-up collar is trimmed in royal blue rickrack. Across the yoke is a 5/8” piece of flat embroidery with red flowers accented with green and blue on a black background. The bottom 1-inch of the dress has a piece of flat embroidery with green, yellow, and blue threads creating a “rickrack” look on a red background. There are two silver square snaps down the back opening. Her undergarments consist of blue felt pants. The hem has the same treatment as the cuffs only in red. The socks are knee-high textured, diamond-patterned white knit. Her shoes are slip-on, made of the same blue felt, with red felt across the arch and a design of royal blue rickrack. Her bonnet is red felt which comes to a point and curves back over the head. It is accented in the same blue treatment as her cuffs. Holding the bonnet secure is a multi-colored rolled braid that is secured under the blue flat embroidery on each side, and tied under the chin in a knot. The bottom of the rolled braid is a loop, not to an end. Her red hair has bangs and is parted in the middle to the nape so that the hair falls in curls on either side framing her face. Her eyes are BRIGHT green. She has soft rosy cheeks and mouth. Her slip-on shoe style means these shoes can more easily come off. I unquote..
